According to Netflix, Netflix adds two more games and will soon release its first-person shooter title. The two games are A True Story, Shatter Remastered.

The Netflix mobile app for Android and iOS has a dedicated games section where customers may download their favourite games directly from the platform for their devices.

“Shatter Remastered,” the first new game, is a retro-inspired brick-breaking game from PikPok of New Zealand. The game is a revised version of Shatter, a PlayStation 3 game from New Zealand developer Sidhe that was first released in 2009. Global leaderboards are included in the updated mobile-optimized edition, allowing users to compare their high scores to those of other players across the world.
“This Is A True Story,” the second title, is a game aimed at raising awareness about the scarcity of safe drinking water in some regions of the world. Frosty Pop collaborated on the game with Charity: Water, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in poor nations. The game depicts a real-life effort by a Sub-Saharan African lady to provide water for her family. It allows players to explore a hand-painted countryside while weathering a windstorm, catching poachers, befriending a goat, and more.

Netflix app users can currently play more than 15 games. The Netflix app for Android and iOS will feature a separate section for games. Select and download any game you like. It is also possible to play these games on tablet computers.

Netflix’s Newest Videogames

Developed by New Zealand-based PikPok, “Shatter Remastered” is a retro-inspired brick-breaking game. Users can compare their high scores with those of other players from around the world on the global leaderboards included in the newly mobile-optimized edition.

With its second release, “This Is A True Story,” the developer aims at bringing attention to the fact that some parts of the world do not have adequate supplies of safe drinking water. By partnering with Charity: Water, a non-profit organisation that aims to offer clean and safe drinking water to people in poor nations, Frosty Pop produced the game. Real conversations and experiences were used to create the game’s hand-painted setting, which includes windstorms, poaching and the chance to become friends with the goat.
