TMZ has confirmed that Bam Margera is in the hospital recovering from a severe case of pneumonia aggravated by COVID-19. We’ve heard from reliable sources that Bam was sent to a hospital in San Diego early this week for treatment of his condition. The hospital’s Covid tests came back positive, and we’ve been told that physicians have since chosen to put him on a ventilator. He continues to be treated in the intensive care unit, but his condition is stable.

Margera’s ongoing battle with substance misuse has made him a popular topic of discourse online this year due to his multiple stints in rehabilitation. He was allegedly observed engaging in anti-social behaviour rather than attending the rehabilitation programme as the court had directed.

There were accusations circulating that Margera’s family members had pressured him into entering the prison, prompting his ardent supporters to establish the Free Bam Movement.

The star of Jackass 3D filed a lawsuit against Paramount over his credit in Jackass Forever. During the credits, he made an appearance in some archival material, and his name was listed 45th out of 49. Due to his drinking problem and the conditions of his contract, he was fired from the film.

Bam Margera’s drinking problem

Bam Margera was a juvenile alcoholic. He got worse after he started working in the entertainment industry. After attempting treatment in 2009, he ultimately abandoned it because he was unable to adjust. Joint problems forced him to give up skateboarding in 2012, and he turned to alcohol to fill the void.

He finally sought help after three years and is now completely sober. His struggles with addiction persisted, and he went to treatment twice in 2018 and 2019 before making the decision to take his fights to the streets.

In the current year of 2019, the airport security guard did not let him board the plane since he was drunk. Margera claimed he has been sober for years in a now-deleted post.

While he was back in treatment this year, he allegedly attempted to leave on many occasions. In Atlanta two months ago, he was discovered drunk.
